Violinist, singer, composer Sarah Alden leads The Letters String Quintet. This new project is a collection of new orchestrations based on Alden’s last album Up To The Sky which garnered favorable comparisons to Andrew Bird and Bjork, accolades that acknowledge its subtle sophistication and richly textured soundscapes of strings and poetic songwriting. New compositions feature letter’s that Sarah’s grandmother saved between women in the 1930’s. Stories told through letters, poems told through letters and notes of letters inspire this project of incredible musicians.
